AL Cy Young Predicitons

Josh Beckett(BOS) Look at him.. -As cool as the other side of the pillow. Well, you would be too if you were 14-4 with a 3.10 era. Playing in the AL East...it's ridiculous how you can put up these numbers. Oh... and these wins aren't cheap. In his past 10 decisions, 7 of them are wins. Yeah, Great stat!(sarcasm) Here's the kicker. Boston scores more than 8+ runs per start and allows 4 runs or less per start. The Red Sox get hyped up when their ace gets on the mound. Also, 5 out of 9 of those starts he has not allowed any earned runs. NEED I SAY MORE....Great!

AL Cy Young STALKER!
Roy Halladay(TOR)- 13-5/2.65 era. Now I want you to understand something. He's only won 3 games and he's only lost 4 times in his past 9 decisions. All of his losses has been because of 'lack of run production'. You can see why because, again, in his last ten decisions, his era has jumped only 12 points.... SINCE THE MIDDLE OF JUNE(2.53)! It's not because of Halladay that his team is not in contention for a playoff spot it's because his team is taking a 'holiday'.

NL Cy Young Predictions

Tim Lincecum(SF) Wait! He's holding one of those already. I know what you're thinking....AGAIN! Yep!. 12-3 "2.19 era" FREAKY... Yeah, the nickname fits. His past 85.2 innigs. He's only given up 13 runs. I just don't understand it. The more he starts the less he gives up. The season is ending soon. I'm assuming you get fatigued, but this kid is not human. That's what we call in the biz... Determination. Crazy work ethic. The kid must look at some serious tapes. Don't be surprised if the Giants are playoff bound. If they are... Watch out!.. The kid is a gem... Sorry.. A Freak

NL Cy Young STALKER!

Chris Carpenter(STL) 12-3/2.27 era. This dude has his teammates working hard for him. He barely loses. How can you lose with Pujols? 2 of his losses were at the end of June. He's won 7 games out of his 8 decisions-Yeah, that lonely game out there-was a 'no-decision' and he's only given up 4 homers in 7 games. He will be useful for a playoff run. Because Carpenter/Wainwright are lights out. Whoa... I thought this segment was about Chris Carpenter! I forgot to tell you. Adam Wainwright has 2 more wins and his era is a 'hair' above Carpenter's. You can say he's stalking the AL Cy Young Stalker. Umm.. They're also teammates. Yes, That's Creepy!

Calling On A Hero

(Chris Lee/P-D)
The 1st half of the season is over.
The Home Run Derby/All-Star Break-Over
Trade Deadline-Over
This soap opera we call Major League Baseball continues to surprise us with constant drama. Never-ending drama. Headlines, Scratches, Injury updates, Farm calls and recalls.... through every single emotion that the game brings us... Why do I continuously see a cloud high over every ballpark? Everyday, a legendary ballpark hero is getting picked off.....base-stealing blunders?... no... no. Steroid/PED users.
Like I said on Twiter.. for some reason everyday, I'm waiting for the next 6pm SportsCenter for a big-named bigleaguer to be leaked out or admit to steroid usage. It's utterly ridiculous. I'm officially calling on a hero.

Now, I really want to get something straight. Jim Thome and Ken Griffey Jr. are two of the greatest hitters of all time. They have 1179 home runs between the two. But all of my life I've been looking up to these players. Major League Baseball and Congress are looking towards the future and why not look at, currently, the cleanest, classiest, and greatest hitter of the milennium.
Albert Pujols
